Groove Therapist — Mama… Don’t Cry In Silence

On February 28th, 2023 at 23:22, Greece experienced the deadliest railway accident in its history. Near the village of Evangelismos in the region of Tempi, Larissa, a passenger train (Intercity 62) traveling from Athens to Thessaloniki collided head-on with a freight train, resulting in the tragic loss of 57 lives and injuring more than 85 others.
This tragedy exposed severe systemic failures, long-standing infrastructure issues and neglected safety concerns — which railway workers had desperately warned about. The country mourned, demanded answers and protested against the indifference that led to such an unthinkable catastrophe.

This event became the emotional foundation and driving force behind our new single “Mama… Don’t Cry In Silence”.

With this song, we seek to honor the memory of the 57 innocent lives lost and to express the profound sorrow of their families — but also the collective voice of outrage against negligence and irresponsibility.
It is a cry for justice. A plea for accountability. A reminder that human lives must never be treated as collateral damage.
